Your information
Only One Pound collects information about Internet Protocol (IP) addresses of all visitors to our web site. An IP is a number assigned to your computer automatically when you use the Internet. This information helps us to monitor site traffic patterns in order to improve our service. We are not able to monitor your individual usage of the site. OnlyOnePound.org does not use, or place cookies on your computer.
When you create a secure personal account on Only One Pound for the purpose of purchasing an item and consequently making a donation, we collect your title, name, email address, postal address, your phone number (where you agree to provide it) and your password. We will only pass on your name and email and home addresses to the charity that will benefit from your donation with your permission. This option will be offered to you when you register to purchase an item.
The information we collect from you when you donate
If you donate/purchase on Only One Pound, we collect your first and last name and your billing address. We do not collect your credit or debit card details (including card type, card number and expiry date) We will only use your payment details for the purpose of processing your donation via our secure payment partner. Newsletters from Only One Pound
We will not send you email newsletters at any time unless you have expressly opted in to receive them. All newsletters from Only One Pound include the option to unsubscribe. If you have a personal Only One Pound account, you can change your contact preferences at any time by visiting the section entitled ‘your details’.
Charities’ use of your personal information
Where you have opted in to pass on your personal details to a charity through our website, Only One Pound declines all responsibility for the subsequent use of your personal information by the charity. If you wish to stop receiving further communications from a charity, please contact them directly.

It is your responsibility to keep your password secure at all times to avoid unauthorised use of your Only One Pound account.

The charities on Only One Pound.org
The Only One Pound website allows you to donate to the charities listed on this website. Only One Pound is an official partner of Sightsavers and as such have contractual agreements that cover our commitment and obligations to them.
Charities and not-for-profit organisations can have similar names: it is your responsibility to check that you are donating to the cause you intended.
What happens if you order a book/cd/dvd and the owner never sends it?
You must inform us within 14 days. The member that has not fulfilled their commitment, as a seller, will be removed and barred from using the Only One Pound website. You will be refunded your purchase fee – legally (and morally) we must offer a refund. At no stage will Sightsavers International be responsible for any site member failing to abide by the spirit in which the service is offered.
Your donation
Only One Pound is not responsible for any dispute you may have regarding the recipient organisation's use of any donation you may make through our website. Please note that the recipient organisation may use your donation for its general purposes. Only One Pound cannot guarantee that funds will be used for a particular appeal, unless specifically stated by the charity.
Unauthorised card use
When a donation is made on the Only One Pound website the transaction is final and not disputable unless unauthorised use of your payment card is proved. If you become aware of fraudulent use of your card, or if it is lost or stolen, you must notify your card provider in accordance with its guidelines.
Your password
When you register with Only One Pound and choose a password to protect your details, you are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your password. Sellers Obligations
You must accurately describe each item you offer and not mislead any Only One Pound Member. You are liable for any errors inaccuracies or omissions in your description. Brand names must be correct and not infringe any intellectual property or other rights of the brand owner.
Categories.
You are not permitted to place an item in more than one category.
Not Permitted.
• Any item considered offensive, pornographic, or misleading will be removed.
• The following are not permitted to be sold or carried out on Only One Pound.
• Illegal/copied software, games, films or a product that infringes copyright laws.
• Spam – enough said!
• Blatant advertisements – i.e with links to other websites.
• Stolen goods.
• Multiple listings of an identical item.
• Items with a very low price and a high postage fees.
• Items listed in the wrong category may be removed or re-listed by us in the correct category.
• Drugs and Chemical substances.
• Firearms and ammunition.
• Alchohol and Tobacco products.
• Concert and sporting tickets – unless as part of agreed promotion.
• Offensive WW2 memorabilia
• Incentives to get free items.
• Any other items that are prohibited by law or considered unsuitable by Only One Pound.
Breach these guidelines and your membership WILL be removed!
Only One Pound Fees
As the seller you agree to pay to us the admin’ fees Only One Pound specify – we try to keep our fees to a minimum. Only One Pound is entitled to alter the amount of its fees only provided that such amount is clearly stated on the site.
VAT
The prices of all items must be inclusive of UK VAT
Our Role
Only One Pound provides the technical means for transactions to be carried out. Only One Pound is not the seller or supplier of any of the goods and we do not have any of the legal obligations that may apply to the sellers of those services or listings. We are not responsible for the validity of the items offered for sale by the members.
Only One Pound has no responsibility over the quality, safety, legality or accuracy of member’s listings.
Withdrawal of Listings/Transactions/services
As an Only One Pound member you acknowledge that we can withdraw any listing or other which - based on information received from members/third parties to be in breach of this Agreement.
Unavailability of the Only One Pound Service
Only One Pound cannot guarantee uninterrupted, continuous access to the web site. there may be times when the service becomes unavailable, either scheduled or for unscheduled reasons.
Only One Pound’s Liability
To the extent that the law permits, you release Only One Pound, its agents and employees from all liability arising out of or in connection with any listing or transaction, including (without limitation) all claims and demands relating to listings, uncompleted or completed transactions, or Items offered for sale or supply, or actually sold or supplied, through or in connection with any listing or transaction.
We will not be liable to you or any third party for any indirect or consequential loss or damage, any loss of profit, data, revenue or business, howsoever caused whether arising out of any negligence or breach of this agreement or otherwise.
You agree to indemnify Only One Pound against all liabilities, claims and expenses that may arise from any breach of this Agreement by you or through your Only One Pound membership.
These Terms of Service are governed by English law.
